Princess Diana “The Peoples Princess”
Today, 31st August 2007, marks the 10 year anniversary of the death of the beloved Princess Diana of Wales.
This much loved and cherished woman embraced all that lived in this world and did her best to help those who were suffering and in need.
People who watched her grow up, people who remember her when they were a child, and even those born after her death come together today to celebrate a life that was cut short, the life of “The Peoples Princess” as the former PM, Tony Blair, said when he announced to the public, the news of her death.
When Diana Split from Prince Charles, she spent many years helping people across the world fighting poverty and disease. One of her main goals, driven by determination of a love for children, was to ban Landmines, destructive weapons which injure and kill many people. The Princess of Wales traveled all over the world to fight for her goal and slowly Britain is joining her fight and keeping it very much alive to this day.
Dianas two sons, William and Harry both take after their mother and now spend a lot of time meeting and helping sick and poverty stircken families around the world. They follow firmly int he footsteps of their mother and are much loved by the World.
Today sees us remembering a life that will never stop living in our minds and hearts, the life of the Princess Diana of Wales. RIP xxx
