Gears of War has Gone Gold

The PC edition of Epic’s grimy cover-based shooter Gears of War (PC, X360) has gone gold, Microsoft announced today. The title will hit retail stores November 6, almost one year exactly after its November 7 release last fall on Xbox 360.

In its PC form, Gears has several additional goodies for gamers: five new singleplayer chapters, a new Annex multiplayer game mode, three new multiplayer maps, and a game editor. You also get to throw down with the Brumak, that big scary thing you never actually got to fight in the 360 version.

The entirety of Xbox 360 downloadable content will be included on the disc as well, and the package will retail for $49.99. For more on the title, check out the Shack’s own thorough preview. Check it our here

Forgotten Hope 2 Update

Hello everyone,

I’m afraid that this thread is not as much an update with news in it, but rather an update about the news. I’m sure you have all noticed that our newsupdates have gone from being weekly, to coming once every two weeks, to once every month. Now, this is due to a lot of factors, but one thing that certainly has something to do with it is the type of replies that our updates have generated in the past few months. Especially the last newsupdate recieved almost exclusively comments regarding the lack of releasedate and the (apparent?) imminent end of the world. So, we have, as a team, decided to stop our official newsupdates until we have completed our first release and are able to give you all a solid and definate releasedate…

Advert Genius does it again!

Juan Cabral, 29 from Argentina, is the creator behind many of our favourite and much loved adverts we see on television

For Sony Bravia he created the Bouncy Balls advert
this saw 250,000 balls dropped in San Diego.

He then went on to create a second advert for them, when he cast a explosion of 70,000 litres of colourful paint onto buildings in Glasgow
Paint Explosion Advert

Cadburys chocolate manufactor then hired him to make an advert for their Dairy Milk brand, and he came up with this….Gorilla Drummer

and now he has once again created a genius advert for Sony Bravia again

Play-Doh was made in new York with the help of 40 aimators and 2.5 tonnes of plasticine.
